Jane Sawyer is hands down one of Australia's best pottery teachers. Taking absolute beginners from zero to a line-up of beautiful ceramic pieces in under a day is magical to see. Jane and her staff do it with humour and warmth and a real passion for sharing knowledge. She is one of very few people outside Japan teaching Japanese throwing techniques - and her emphasis on ergonomics and using your body mindfully are important for beginners and experienced potters alike. One of the most fulfilling weekend workshops you could ever hope to do.

What an incredible weekend! Expert instructor Jane knows her craft inside and out, and the rhythm and beauty of her pottery skills spilled over into the effortless poetry of her instruction and the deft manner in which she advised us. Her assistant Flic was incredibly supportive and attentive and perfectly complemented the class. We had access to a wide range of resources, and had a perfect balance of discussion, structured practice and free creative expression. Would highly recommend!
