As a regular student in Pilar Rojas’ handbuilding class, I continue to enjoy, learn and love classes at Slow Clay. Pilar is an inspiring teacher and fellow students also provide additional encouragement and new ideas. Slow Clay is a warm
and friendly environment, and playing with clay is a great way to relax. Thank you Pilar and all, Anne

A very enjoyable class lead my a talented and kind instructor!
The class would benefit from either being extended to 2.5hrs and/or the addition of an assistant. The time spent setting up, packing down and watching demonstrations really cuts into actual hand building time, often leaving students feeling rushed and not having had enough time to complete tasks and/or gain sufficient one-on-one time with the instructor.
Students would also significantly benefit from being provided a hardcopy/softcopy SCC Form & Surface Booklet that includes instructions with images/diagrams/videos that detail the key objectives and techniques covered in each class (including critical information on wedging, making slip, storage, firing and glazing)
This will better ensure classes stay on course each week, save time, ensure instructors and students are best prepared, and students have the ability to practice at home and in the studio with confidence between classes with or without the assistance of an instructor.
