Form and surface with Pilar - October ‘22:
Each week with Pilar was a tailored telescopic instruction and generous discussion which inspired beginners (like me) and experienced students alike to consolidate and extend their understanding of ceramic forms, scope for decorative surfacing and their own imaginations. Through 4 different clays and an array of approaches using hand-built and sculptural techniques Pilar created a nurturing, cathartic environment to investigate our individual aesthetic voices.
Would highly recommend SC to anybody... from those looking to dip a toe for the first time (like me) to those (like many of my classmates) who’re already experienced and adept but wanting to refresh, inspire or expand their skill set beyond traditional or contemporary ‘circles’ :P
The warmth, skilled guidance, time and care of your teacher and all the Slow Clay team - shout out to Pilar, Flic and Sabrina especially - will keep you coming back for more.
Do yourself a favour, book in to have your mind and body wobbled.

I loved my class!
Slow clay is a beautiful peaceful space and provides everything you need.
Pilar helped me with my ideas and was very encouraging and informative.
It was a great experience and I will be going back to keep expanding and experimenting. Xxx

Returning after an unfortunate break from COVID was delightful. Even after attending for several years prior, I was able to try some new techniques and it was a friendly and creative atmosphere to work in. See you next year!
