The Slow Clay Centre is a great place to learn about ceramics. I've done three courses there - Form and Surface twice and Wheel once. All have been great. The teachers are practising artists, and have amazing knowledge and passion, not to mention great patience. They are very generous about passing on their skills and expertise, and obviously love teaching. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to learn about working in ceramics.
